INTRODUCTORY NOTE

In today’s Who’s Who, we reveal the career path of a personality linked to Architecture or Engineering. In this edition, we will get to know Who Studio JV is.

Studio JV is a Portuguese-Brazilian architecture and design firm led by João Vieira, an architect graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Lusíada University of Porto, with experience as a professor at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design and more than two decades of international experience.

With its main headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal, Studio JV also has an office in Recife, the capital of Pernambuco, Brazil. The team is composed of more than 75 professionals of diverse nationalities and experiences, providing a collaborative environment. Currently, more than 80 projects of different scales, programs, and strategies are being developed, with a focus on sustainability and the efficient use of materials and spaces.

In Portugal, the firm is involved in housing projects from the Algarve to Porto. In Brazil, it has projects under development in Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Curitiba.

Before founding Studio JV, João Vieira lived and worked as an architect in cities such as New York, Copenhagen, Oslo, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Berlin, Lisbon, and São Paulo.
