Living in Vilamoura: Lumare Will Feature 62 Apartments (Including Six Penthouses)

Real estate developer Fercopor is enhancing its commitment to Vilamoura and the luxury housing sector in this prestigious Algarve area. Following the launch of Serenity last summer, the company now announces the arrival of Lumare to the market. This development will consist of four buildings with 62 apartments, including six penthouses (two T4 and four T3). The project is designed by architect João Vieira of Studio JV.

Identified as Sky Residences, all penthouses feature a large terrace and pool with sea views, with outdoor areas reaching up to 358 square meters (m²), Fercopor notes in a statement, highlighting that the interiors reach up to 195 m².

“The project also includes 56 additional apartments ranging from T1 to T3, following two distinct residential concepts. The Garden Residences feature private gardens within the apartment, while the Essence Residences emphasize the size of the interior and exterior spaces,” the statement reads.

According to the developer, all units offer generous areas, high-quality finishes, and a strong connection between interior and exterior, which is especially relevant in a region where sun and sea define the landscape. They also provide exclusive access to various amenities, including a massage room, sauna, gym, and lounge.

“Of the total 7,794 m² of land, more than 30% is dedicated to green spaces within the condominium, highlighted by the central garden with an outdoor pool that unifies all the buildings,” the company states.

Algarve Attracts Portuguese and Foreign Investors

Mário Almeida, Administrator at Fercopor, comments that the Algarve real estate market has always been dynamic, and there is currently “an increasing national and international demand for residential projects, where criteria such as comfort and area dimensions are different.”

“Therefore, our focus has been on creating developments for those looking to reside or spend extended periods in this region—a unique profile in the Algarve with significant growth potential. We aimed to develop a very comprehensive proposal for those looking to enjoy all the potentials of the Algarve. The location, near the Marina of Vilamoura, has once again proven essential to the project’s value,” he adds.

Architect João Vieira, in turn, notes that “the arrangement in different layers provides a variety of spaces, such as terraces and projections, offering various light and shadow experiences, ensuring both privacy and exposure areas.” “As a result, the variations in apartment types on each floor give the building a unique identity,” he concludes.

It is worth mentioning that the landscape architecture work for Lumare is undertaken by the Porto-based Oh!Land Studio, which prioritized ecological and climatic diversity, expressed through the vegetation.

Fercopor Has More Projects in the Pipeline

In addition to Lumare, the developer reveals that it will launch two new luxury housing projects later this year: one on Avenida da Boavista, near Porto’s City Park, and another in Vila do Conde. In Boavista, Fercopor is constructing three developments (Enlight, Pure, and Prisma), and in Vila do Conde, the Casa Verde project is underway.
