Fercopor Launches Second Luxury Project in Vilamoura
Less than a year after the launch of the Serenity project, real estate developer Fercopor is doubling down on Vilamoura in the luxury housing segment. The new Lumare development features 62 apartments ranging from T1 to T4 Penthouse, designed by Architect João Vieira. The developer anticipates an investment of 100 million euros across both projects.
“The Algarve real estate market has always been dynamic, but there is increasing national and international demand for residential projects where criteria such as comfort and space dimensions are prioritized. Therefore, our focus has been on creating developments for those seeking to reside or spend extended periods in this region—a unique profile in the Algarve with significant growth potential,” says Mário Almeida, Administrator at Fercopor.
The new project comprises four buildings, including six penthouses (two T4 and four T3). Labeled as Sky Residences, each features a spacious terrace and pool with sea views, with outdoor areas reaching up to 358 square meters (m²). The interiors are also the largest in the development, reaching up to 195 m².
The project also includes two distinct residential concepts: Garden Residences, which feature private gardens within the apartment, and Essence Residences, which emphasize the scale of both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Common to all units are “key” features in Fercopor’s housing profile across all its projects: generous areas, superior quality finishes, and a strong connection between the interior and exterior, which is particularly relevant in a region where the sun and sea define the landscape.
“The layered design provides a variety of spaces, such as terraces and projections, offering diverse experiences of light and shadow, ensuring areas for both privacy and exposure,” explains João Vieira, responsible for the project.
“As a result, the variations in apartment types on each floor give the building a unique identity,” adds João Vieira, head of Studio JV, who has leveraged his over 20 years of experience in this project with works across Europe, North America, and South America.
All units also have exclusive access to a range of amenities, including a massage room, sauna, gym, and lounge. Of the total 7,794 m² of land, more than 30% is dedicated to condominium green spaces, highlighted by the central garden with an outdoor pool that unifies all the buildings.
The development of Lumare involved careful landscape architecture work by Porto-based Oh!Land Studio, which prioritized ecological and climatic diversity, reflected through the vegetation.
Later this year, Fercopor plans to launch two additional projects in the North of the country: one on Avenida da Boavista, near Porto’s City Park, and another in Vila do Conde. Currently, construction is underway for the Enlight, Pure, and Prisma developments in Boavista and the Casa Verde project in Vila do Conde.
